Westgate Collegiate and Vocational Institute is a vibrant secondary school located on the south side of the city of Thunder Bay. Well known as the home of the “Tigers,” Westgate is an inclusive and fully comprehensive school that serves a diverse community of over 1000 students in grades 9 through 12. The school boasts exceptional amenities, including a beautiful courtyard, an expansive cafetorium, two spacious gymnasiums, a newly constructed drama theater, a fully equipped fitness facility, a dance studio, multiple science labs, professional music rooms and state-of-the-art technology shops.

For over 60 years, Westgate students have embraced the school’s motto of “Always, Only the Best” and thrived under the guidance of the building’s devoted staff. Westgate is proud of its long history of academic and co-curricular accomplishments, and it looks forward to carrying on its tradition of excellence with future generations of tigers.
